Whether you’re having the guys over to watch a game or play cards, you’ll definitely need some finger foods to spice things up. Fortunately, most guys are easy-going and will eat whatever you place in front of them. But you might still be looking for ideas, especially if you want easy, mess-free foods that don’t require much prep or cleanup.

Well, look no further because we have the five perfect foods to spice up your game nights.

1. Meat and Cheese

The classic meat and cheese board (also known as a charcuterie board) contains some of man’s favorite things to eat. Pack any wooden board or dish with your favorite meats and cheeses, and don’t be afraid to add in other accompaniments such as gourmet stuffed olives, crackers and nuts.

2. Chicken Wings

It’s no secret that chicken wings dominate snack time while watching sports or playing cards. Wings are cheap and convenient! While fried chicken wings are fall-off-the-bone tasty, you also have the option to oven fry them. It’s healthier and involves less cleanup! Don’t be afraid to experiment with different flavors such as cajun barbecue or lemon pepper.

3. Potato Skins

Potato skins are another tasty food that is sure to make your game night a success. As with chicken wings, you can bake the skins in the oven rather than frying them. When you bake them at a high heat, it gets the skin super crispy! Also, be generous with the toppings - sour cream, shredded cheese, green onions, smoked bacon - you name it!

4. Nachos

Nachos are one of the easiest things to make on this list - and they go far! For a big crowd, find a recipe for sheet pan nachos - you’ll have nachos for days! Be sure to toast the chips and then add your meat and cheese mixture. You can put the toppings on the nachos so the guys can dig in and eat, or have them to the side so everyone can make their own plates.

5. Pinwheel Sandwiches

Pinwheels are made out of tortilla shells, and you can stuff them with just about anything - cream cheese, bacon, shredded cheese, shredded chicken, lunchmeat, spinach and more. They’re quick and easy to make, and you can put together a whole tray of different varieties to accommodate everyone’s taste buds.

When you have the guys over for game night, don’t just throw down a bowl of store-bought chips. By serving chicken wings, finger sandwiches or nachos, you’re putting the effort into your friendships and also making your game nights memorable.
