If you are planning a birthday party in these circumstances, there is no need to be disheartened. There are plenty of ways to celebrate a safe and enjoyable birthday party with friends and family.
Invite a small group of friends and family in celebration outdoors. Being outdoors lowers the risk of transmission of the virus through the air. Choose a space that can enable guests to maintain a distance of at least 3 feet between them.
Get a fabulous cake, some food, and drinks to make it a great feast. If there are children involved, you could try healthy chicken fry recipes to keep them hooked. Many caterers in the market plan exceptionally safe birthday feasts for guests, so that you won’t have to worry a bit. Some tips to make it a safe affair for your guests:
If you have children below 5 years, they are not eligible for vaccines yet. This might be making you skeptical. At the same time, you might be worried about missed events and celebrations for the second or third year in a row.
A birthday parade can cheer your kid and also protect them against gatherings. Ask your child’s friends and their parents, and your family members to decorate their cars with balloons and drive by the road in front of your house. Ensure a long line of celebratory honks that will make your child feel special. You will have some amazing memories to recall a few years down the line.
Invite a few friends over to spend a night in separate tents in your backyard. Spend a night under the stars roasting meat, or veggies, or s’mores over a bonfire. You could install a projector to have a backyard movie night.
If there are children involved, you could create an obstacle course with cardboard boxes, a trampoline, and other materials.
If nothing seems possible in your community, or if you are somewhere abroad, host a Zoom party. Create a playlist and share it through Spotify. Hang some streamers, hold your drinks, and dance the night away. You could also sip your drinks, and chat with your friends the whole night. If you want to gift something special to a friend on their birthday, ask family and friends to send birthday wishes, and compile them into one video that can be played during the party.
With a little dash of creativity and flexibility, it’s possible to plan a birthday party amidst Covid-19 restrictions. Consider having a guest list of vaccinated people, and put on your masks in closed spaces.
